Personal Guidance
Careers Support at Alde Valley Academy
Personal Guidance
Every student can book a one-to-one careers interview with our impartial adviser, Beth Bridges. Appointments are easy to arrange via Beth, our Careers Lead Jamie Smith, or your tutor. Mentoring support is also available for those who need it.
Careers Library & Online Resources
Our Learning Resource Centre offers prospectuses, reference guides and software (including Unifrog) to explore further and higher education, apprenticeships and gap-year options. Students can also access online career platforms to build skills and plan their next steps.
Continued Learning to Age 18
By law, young people in England stay in education or training until 18. You can choose from:
-
Full-time study at school, college or with a training provider
-
Full-time work or volunteering plus part-time study
-
An apprenticeship
