Pupil Premium
Alde Valley Academy
At Alde Valley Academy, we are committed to ensuring that every student, regardless of background or personal circumstance, has the opportunity to aspire and achieve.
The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support students who may face barriers to learning, including those who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), looked-after children (LAC), and children from service families. Our aim is to use this funding strategically to close the attainment gap, raise aspirations, and ensure all students are equipped to reach their full potential.
Our Commitment
We use Pupil Premium funding to:
-
Provide high-quality teaching and targeted academic support
-
Offer tailored interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional wellbeing
-
Fund enrichment opportunities to build cultural capital and confidence
-
Support attendance, behaviour, and engagement with learning
-
Strengthen relationships with families and the wider community
Our use of this funding reflects our core values:
-
Aspire and Achieve – removing barriers so all students can succeed
-
Lead with Kindness – providing care, respect, and tailored support
-
Stronger Together – working collaboratively with students, families, and staff
Monitoring Impact
We regularly review the progress and wellbeing of Pupil Premium students, using data and feedback to adapt our approach and ensure the funding is having the greatest impact. Our strategy is published and reviewed annually in line with Department for Education guidance.
We are proud of the progress our students make and remain committed to providing an inclusive, ambitious education for all.
