Year 6 Transition

Choosing the right secondary school is a big step, and at Alde Valley Academy, we’re here to make that transition as smooth and positive as possible.

If your child is currently in Year 6 and you’re considering Alde Valley Academy for September 2025, we warmly invite you to explore what makes our school a supportive, inspiring place to learn and grow. From the moment your child joins us, they’ll be welcomed into a friendly and caring community, with dedicated staff and a strong focus on individual progress and wellbeing.

We offer a range of transition activities throughout the year to help new students settle in and feel confident, including:

• Induction days and welcome events

• Visits to our school and opportunities to meet key staff

• A comprehensive transition programme to support every student

Our aim is to ensure every child feels known, supported, and excited about starting their secondary school journey.

 Headteacher Tour of the School
