Extra-Curricular Opportunities at Alde Valley Academy

At Alde Valley Academy, we believe that learning goes far beyond the classroom. Our extra-curricular programme is an integral part of our Aspire Curriculum, connecting classroom learning with opportunities to discover new interests, develop skills, build confidence and form long lasting friendships. 

Through sports clubs, creative arts, and STEM, music, drama and student leadership alongside trips, guest speakers, competitions, Duke of Edinburgh and community projects, students put our three Aspire values into practice.

Aspire and Achieve

Student broaden their horizons, discover their talents and develop resilience to take on new challenges. these experiences help them build ambition and explore possibilities for their future.

Lead with Kindness

Through volunteering, charity activities, community projects and leadership opportunities, students develop empathy, take responsibility and make a positive difference to their lives and others.

Stronger Together

Clubs, teams, performances and shared experiences help students build friendships, work collaboratively and develop a sense of belonging within our school and the wider community.

The extra curricular offer at Alde Valley Academy complements PSHE, careers education, enrichment days and student leadership within the Aspire curriculum. Together these experiences support students' wellbeing and personal development, helping them to become confident, capable and engaged young people.

We encourage every pupil to get involved, to try something new and make the most of all of the opportunities available -  developing their skills, values and ambition beyond school.
